Just go into edit town, move some random sim into a lot, then evict that same sim and choose to merge it with your family.

Instead of adding that sim to your family though, move the baby to the random sim's side then accept it. This way they will be gone from your family tree. No cheats, no mods.

There are multiple ways you can do this. One way, which I don't really recommend, is that you type in the testingcheatsenabled true cheat, right click on the baby, click object, and click delete it. I don't recommend that way because it still counts as being in the house, and you'll have one less space for sims in your houshold. Another way is to create a young adult, adult, or elder, move it into your house, and then kick out the new sim and the baby.

You really can't, although I think this should be a feature in Sims game in the future.

Instead, you can similate an adoption by adding another adult Sim to your household, then have them "move out", taking care that you put the baby in this new Sims' household when you do. I would have the sim who gave birth to an unplanned baby just go visit my playable orphanage using Home Opener from NRaas and switch to the orphanage household and use Master Controller to add the baby to that household and switch back to the guest and send them home without their baby.

I can do the same thing only with an older couple who miss having children around who can't bear their own anymore and have them "adopt" the other sim's baby. By now I'm sure everyone's experienced their created families spawning unwanted children. So how do you get rid of them?

I called the adoption service using the phone and they dropped of another child! I also tried the Age Transition cheat and transitioned until the baby died of 'natural causes', but that leaves a dead old sim in your family tree.

The parent lovingly puts the baby on the grill, closes the cover and when it's ready they serve it up on a platter and everyone takes a "serving".
